Overview
Roov is a sleek mobile expense-splitting application that eliminates the awkwardness and hassle of group finances. Designed for roommates, travel groups, and friends, Roov allows users to quickly log expenses, calculate unequal splits, and track who owes whom with a clear, visual settle-up interface.
The Challenge
Designing a frictionless flow that handles complex mathematical splits (even/uneven, percentages, shares) while maintaining a clean, minimalist mobile UI that works smoothly across different device sizes.
My Approach
Built a cross-platform mobile application using React Native to deliver fluid, high-performance interactions. Implemented a simple, card-based interface for managing active groups and designed an intelligent balance settlement engine that minimizes the total number of transactions required to settle debts.
